A drop of water was about to free itself from the snow that was still hanging over the branch. It was a cold morning, but the early sunbeams touched the surface with a light glow, just warm enough to melt the snow closest to the sun. Like a gentleman, one of the sunbeams reached out to the drop that was still wrestling with its host. It was just a matter of time before the host had released its guest. It was for the best without doubt.
The long way down seemed to last an eternity, although only a few seconds. With confidence and pride the drop had started its last journey, elegantly falling down, absorbing its surroundings on its way. Spring was waking up…
